# Access Sharing

Share access to your Hostinger account — or get access to a client's — without exchanging passwords. Managed from **Profile** → **Account sharing** in hPanel.

## Roles

When you grant someone access to your account, you pick their role:

| Role             | What they can do                                                  |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Admin**        | Manage services and make purchases using the added payment method |
| **Collaborator** | Manage services — can't make purchases                            |

## Grant access

Give a developer, designer, or teammate access to manage services on your account:

1. In hPanel, go to **Profile** → **Account sharing**.
2. Choose **Grant access**.
3. Enter the recipient's email — they need a Hostinger account, or they'll be prompted to create one.
4. Pick the role (**Admin** or **Collaborator**).
5. Send the invite. The recipient accepts, and your account appears in their hPanel.

Website onboarding also offers a **Grant developer access** step, so a client can hand a new site to their developer during setup.

## Request access

Working on a client's hosting? Instead of asking for their password, request access:

1. Go to **Profile** → **Account sharing** → **Request access**.
2. Enter the client's account email.
3. The client approves the request from their account, choosing your role.

You then manage their services from your own hPanel login — with your own credentials and 2FA.

## Revoke access

Either side can end the arrangement at any time from **Account sharing** — the owner removes the person's access, or the invitee leaves the account. Revocation doesn't delete any work done on the sites; only the access goes away.

## Handing a site over entirely

Access sharing shares management of *your* account. To permanently transfer a finished site to the client's own account, use **1-click ownership transfers** from the WordPress Add-ons bundle — see [Agency Hosting Overview](/agency-hosting/overview.md#wordpress-add-ons). ## Notes

* Sharing access never transfers ownership of the plan or its billing.
* Recipients act under their role's limits, enforced by hPanel — Collaborators can't make purchases.
* Prefer granting access over sharing passwords: it's auditable, scoped, and revocable, and your client keeps their own 2FA.
