# Email Logs

Answer "did it send?", "who logged in?", and "who changed that?" from the **Email Logs** page under your email domain. Three tabs, all filterable by mailbox and date range, with pagination.

## Delivery

Every message your domain sent or received, with sender, recipient, time, and status:

| Status | Meaning |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Delivered** | Accepted by the receiving server |
| **Sent** | Handed off for delivery |
| **Pending / Deferred** | Queued — the receiving server asked to retry later |
| **Soft Reject** | Temporarily refused; delivery will be retried |
| **Bounced / Failed** | Permanently refused — check the detail view for the reason |

Click an entry for the full detail. This is the first place to look when someone says "your email never arrived."

## Access

Sign-in attempts per protocol (Webmail, IMAP, SMTP, POP3) with the result — successful, failed, or rejected. Useful for spotting a forgotten device hammering an old password, or unauthorized access attempts.

## Actions

An audit trail of administrative changes: mailbox created or deleted, password changed, settings updated, aliases/forwarders/catch-all/auto-replies created or removed — each with the actor's role and IP address, and the failure reason where applicable.

## Troubleshooting with logs

**Recipient says the mail never arrived** Find it in **Delivery**. Delivered means it's on their side (spam folder, filters). Bounced shows the receiving server's reason — commonly a typo'd address or a DNS/reputation issue; check your [domain settings](/emails/domain-settings.md).

**Mailbox keeps getting locked or flooded with failures** Check **Access** for repeated failed logins, then change the mailbox password and switch devices to [app passwords](/emails/mailboxes.md#app-passwords).

**A forwarder or reply changed and nobody admits it** The **Actions** tab shows who did what, from which IP, and when.
