# Overview

Hostinger is a managed web hosting platform that takes care of everything between your code and your visitors — domains, servers, runtimes, databases, certificates, and the control panel that ties it all together. You bring a website, an app, or just an idea; Hostinger handles provisioning, scaling, and day-to-day operations so you don't have to maintain infrastructure yourself.

It covers the full lifecycle of a site: register or connect a domain, spin up hosting, deploy your code (or install a CMS like WordPress), and keep it running with built-in SSL, backups, caching, and monitoring.

## What you can do

* **Host websites** — Static files, PHP, or WordPress on shared hosting. Each site gets its own domain, storage, and database.
* **Build with AI or drag-and-drop** — Hostinger Horizons builds websites and web apps from a described idea; the Website Builder offers beginner-friendly drag-and-drop editing.
* **Deploy Node.js apps** — Hostinger builds from source and keeps the process running. See [Node.js Hosting](/node.js/overview.md).
* **Auto-deploy from Git** — Connect GitHub; every push ships. See [Git](/websites/git.md) for static/PHP sites, or [GitHub](/node.js/github.md) under Node.js for apps that run a build.
* **Manage domains** — Register, point, and configure DNS in one place. See [Domains](/domains/overview.md).
* **Run WordPress** — One-click install, managed updates. See [WordPress](/wordpress/overview.md).

## Hosting plans

Plans differ by resource limits (CPU, RAM, storage, visits/month), number of websites, and included tooling. The broad families:

* **Web Hosting** — Premium, Business, and other shared plans for personal sites through small-business workloads.
* **Cloud Hosting** — Cloud Startup, Professional, and Enterprise. More powerful than shared Web Hosting plans and built to handle higher traffic volumes.
* **Agency Hosting** — multi-site management, staging environments, and cloning. See [Agency Hosting](/agency-hosting/overview.md).
* **VPS Hosting** — full-root Linux VMs for custom workloads.
* **WordPress Hosting** — the above, preconfigured for WordPress.

Check [hostinger.com/web-hosting](https://www.hostinger.com/web-hosting) for the current plan matrix and limits. Feature availability in this documentation assumes a web, cloud, or agency plan unless noted.
