# Templates & Editor

Design emails in Hostinger Reach — create templates with AI or from the gallery, edit sections, set global styles, personalize content, and run the quality checker.

A template is a reusable email design. Campaigns and [automations](/reach/automations.md) both send templates, and the same editor builds [forms](/reach/forms.md).

Find them under **Templates**.

## Creating a template

* **Describe it** — write what the email should say and Reach generates the copy, layout, and imagery, styled from your [brand settings](/reach/settings.md#brand-settings).
* **From the gallery** — browse ready-made designs. **Apply brand details** restyles one with your logo, colors, and fonts, which uses AI credits.
* **Upload HTML** — bring your own markup.

## The editor

An email is a stack of **sections** — a header, some text, an image, a button, a footer. Select a section to edit it, drag to reorder, or insert a new one from the section picker: text, buttons, images, headings, and layout or spacing blocks.

You can also edit by asking: describe a change in the chat and Reach applies it to the template.

### Global styles

Global styles set the look of the whole email at once, rather than section by section: heading and body fonts, text and link colors, page background, and button appearance including color, text color, border, and corner radius.

### Personalization

Insert a contact's details into the text and each recipient sees their own values:

* Built-in: first name, last name, email address, phone number
* Any [custom field](/reach/contacts.md#custom-fields) you've defined

Personalization tokens take a fallback for contacts with that field empty, so an email opens with "Hi there" rather than "Hi ,". The built-in name tokens come with sensible fallbacks already.

### Dynamic cart link

Emails used by an abandoned-cart [automation](/reach/automations.md) can include a link back to the shopper's own cart. Set a fallback URL for recipients whose cart can't be resolved, so the button always goes somewhere useful.

### HTML editing

The code editor gives direct access to the email's HTML. It requires a paid plan.

## Quality checker

The quality checker reviews a finished email and groups its findings by severity, from things that could be better to things needing major work — covering the content, structure, and choices that tend to land mail in spam. Run it before sending. It requires a paid plan or AI credits.

## Reach branding

Emails and forms on the free plan include a small Reach signature. Removing it requires a paid plan.

## Testing before you send

Send a test email to yourself from a campaign's template step, and use the inbox preview to check the subject line, preheader, and sender name as they'll appear in a crowded inbox.
