# Monitoring

Watch your websites' availability and get notified when something goes wrong — without polling the site yourself. Find it under **Websites** → **Monitoring** in hPanel.

## Alerts

Create alerts that check your site on a schedule and notify you when a condition trips:

1. Open **Monitoring** and create an alert.
2. Configure it:
   * **Name** — what this alert watches
   * **Type and threshold** — the condition that triggers it
   * **Check interval** — how often the check runs
   * **Notification channels** — where the alert is delivered
3. Save.

You can create up to **10 alerts**.

## When to use it

* Know a client site went down before the client does
* Catch outages after deploys, DNS changes, or SSL renewals
* Watch a site you've just migrated while DNS propagates
