# Affiliate Marketing Tools

Use the Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools plugin to add Amazon and Mercado Livre affiliate product cards, lists, and comparison tables to your WordPress site.

**Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools** pulls products from Amazon, Mercado Livre, or both into your posts and pages as affiliate-linked product cards, lists, and comparison tables, so you earn commission on qualifying purchases.

The plugin was previously called **Hostinger Amazon Affiliate Connector**.

## Before you start

* **An affiliate account.** Join Amazon Associates, the Mercado Livre affiliate program, or both — the plugin connects your site to the program, it isn't an affiliate network.
* **A supported plan.** The plugin is included with Business and Cloud web hosting plans. See [WordPress hosting plans](https://www.hostinger.com/wordpress-hosting) for what each plan includes.

No API keys are required for either marketplace. Amazon needs your country and tracking ID; Mercado Livre only needs your country.

## Install the plugin

### On a new site

Build the site with the [AI theme](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-theme.md) and describe it as an affiliate marketing site. The plugin is installed as part of the setup.

### On an existing site

1. In hPanel, go to **Websites** → your website → **Dashboard**.
2. Open **WordPress** → **Overview**.
3. Under **Recommended installations**, click **Install** next to **Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools**.

You can also install it from the **Discover** tab in [Hostinger Hub](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/easy-onboarding.md#discover). Once it's active, the Hub checklist shows a **Connect your affiliate account** step that takes you to marketplace setup.

## Connect a marketplace

1. In the WordPress admin, go to **Hostinger** → **Affiliate Marketing**.
2. Choose a marketplace — **Amazon** or **Mercado Livre** — and click **Continue**.
3. Pick the **Country** of your affiliate account.
4. For Amazon, also enter your **Tracking ID**. If you don't know it, use the **Find your Tracking ID** link.
5. Click **Save**.

You can connect both marketplaces and use their products side by side. Add the second one, or disconnect one, from **Manage marketplaces**. Disconnecting a marketplace hides its products on your site.

| Marketplace | Countries |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Amazon | Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States |
| Mercado Livre | Brazil, Mexico |

## Add products to a page

### Block editor

1. Edit a post or page and add the **Link Amazon products** or **Link Mercado Livre products** block.
2. Click **Select** and choose a display format.
3. Search the marketplace catalog or enter product IDs (ASINs for Amazon), then add the products.

### Elementor

1. Open the page with **Edit with Elementor**.
2. Drag the **Affiliate product** widget onto the page.
3. Choose the marketplace and a display format, then add products.

> **Note:** Switching an existing page to Elementor replaces its content. Affiliate blocks added in the block editor don't carry over — add them again with the Elementor widget.

### Other editors

Use the `[hostinger-affiliate-table]` shortcode to place a comparison table in editors that don't support blocks. Only comparison tables are available as a shortcode — single product cards and product lists need the block editor or Elementor.

## Display formats

| Format | What it shows |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Single Product Card** | One product with image, title, description, price, and a buy button |
| **Multiple Product List** | Several products — pick them yourself or pull the marketplace's bestsellers. Choose a detailed list, a simplified list, or horizontal cards |
| **Comparison Table** | Products side by side with the rows you choose |

### Build a comparison table

Comparison tables are built once in the plugin dashboard, then reused in any post.

1. Go to **Hostinger** → **Affiliate Marketing** and click **Add a new table configuration**.
2. Name the table and add products.
3. Choose the rows to compare. Remove a row with the trash bin icon.
4. Click **Save Changes**.
5. In the editor, add the block, choose **Comparison Table**, pick your table from the dropdown, and click **Continue**.

## Customize the display

Select the block or widget to adjust it — in the block editor, options are in the sidebar panels; in Elementor, they're on the widget's **Content** tab.

* **Display type and products** — switch between a single product card, a product list, and a comparison table; pick products or show bestsellers for a keyword; set how many items to show.
* **Layout** — for lists, choose a detailed list, a simplified list, or horizontal cards, and show the bestseller number.
* **Title** — limit the title length, or replace the marketplace title with your own.
* **Description** — show or hide the description, replace it with your own, and set how many items and how long it is.
* **Buy button** — replace the button text with your own call to action.
* **Comparison table** — choose which saved table to show. In the block editor you can also edit the table or create a new one from the **Table Configuration** panel.

Elementor also offers a **Setup wizard** for guided setup, and a **Custom affiliate URL** for linking a product to your own affiliate link.

## Troubleshooting

### Product search returns an error

Products are fetched live from the marketplace, so searches occasionally fail on the marketplace side. Wait a moment and try again.

### Products disappeared from a page

Check **Manage marketplaces** — if the marketplace was disconnected, its products are hidden. Reconnect it to show them again.
