# AI Plugin

Use the Hostinger AI plugin for WordPress to generate posts, pages, and WooCommerce product descriptions, manage your site with Hostinger Agent, and connect AI tools over MCP.

The **Hostinger AI** plugin brings AI into the WordPress admin. Generate posts, pages, and WooCommerce product descriptions from a short idea, ask **Hostinger Agent** to handle admin tasks in plain language, and connect AI tools such as Claude or Cursor to your site.

The plugin was previously called **Hostinger AI Assistant**, and Hostinger Agent was previously called **Kodee**.

## Availability

The plugin is free and included with Business and Cloud web hosting plans. See [WordPress hosting plans](https://www.hostinger.com/wordpress-hosting) for what each plan includes. It's only available for sites hosted with Hostinger and isn't listed on WordPress.org.

## Install the plugin

The plugin is installed automatically when you create a WordPress site on an eligible plan.

To add it to an existing site:

1. In hPanel, go to **Websites** → your website → **Dashboard**.
2. Open **WordPress** → **Overview**.
3. Under **Recommended installations**, click **Install** next to the Hostinger AI plugin.

## Hostinger Agent

Hostinger Agent is an AI assistant that works on your site for you. Click the **Agent** button to open it in a sidebar. The button appears for administrators in the WordPress admin, in the block editor and Elementor, and on your site while you're logged in.

Ask in plain language — for example *"Create a draft post about our summer opening hours"* or *"Add a 10% coupon for the shop"*. Hostinger Agent can manage:

* Posts, pages, custom post types, and revisions
* Categories and tags
* Comments — reply, approve, and mark as spam
* Media — upload from a URL, edit details, and delete
* Users
* Menus and navigation
* SEO titles and descriptions, and SEO audits
* Plugins and themes
* WooCommerce products, orders, coupons, and sales reports
* Elementor pages, widgets, and global colors and fonts
* Site settings, maintenance mode, security, HTTPS, and LiteSpeed cache

Hostinger Agent asks for confirmation before anything destructive, such as deleting content. It also suggests next steps for your site, like connecting a domain or setting up Google Search Console.

## Create content with AI

### AI Content Creator

Generate a full post or page from the **AI Content Creator** screen:

1. In the WordPress admin, go to **Hostinger** → **AI Content Creator**.
2. Choose the **Content Type** — post, page, or any other public content type.
3. Pick a **Tone of voice** (**Neutral**, **Formal**, **Trustworthy**, **Friendly**, **Witty**) and a **Content length** (**Short**, **Medium**, **Long**).
4. Describe the **Content main idea** in at least 10 characters, and optionally add up to five focus keywords.
5. Click **Create content**.

Review the result, including the suggested **Keywords** and an editable **Meta description**, then click **Edit as a draft** or **Publish**.

### In the block editor

1. Add the **AI Content Creator** block to a post or page.
2. Enter the **Main topic**, pick a tone of voice and content length, and tick **Add an image inside my content** if you want an image.
3. Click **Create content**.
4. Click **Use this content** to insert it, or **Edit prompt** to try again.

### WooCommerce product descriptions

1. Go to **Products** and add or edit a product.
2. In the **Create product with AI** box below the title, describe the product in a few words.
3. Pick a content length and tone of voice, then click **Create product with AI**.

## Connect AI tools over MCP

The plugin runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server on your site, so AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and VS Code can manage it with the same abilities as Hostinger Agent. This [WordPress site MCP server](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-plugin/mcp-server.md) is separate from the Hostinger API's MCP server, which manages your hosting account rather than what's inside a site. See [WordPress site MCP server or Hostinger API MCP server?](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-plugin/mcp-server.md#wordpress-site-mcp-server-or-hostinger-api-mcp-server)

### With Hostinger Connector

[Hostinger Connector](/hostinger-connector/overview.md) is the easiest option — no passwords or server addresses to copy:

1. [Install Hostinger Connector](/hostinger-connector/installation-and-setup.md) in your code editor.
2. Sign in with your Hostinger account.
3. Keep the **Websites** product group enabled. Your WordPress sites with the AI plugin active are added automatically, each shown as **WordPress: yourdomain.com**.
4. For a site you add later, click **Sync** next to **Websites**.

Connector signs in to your site using your Hostinger account session. Behind the scenes, Hostinger issues a short-lived token for the site that the AI plugin verifies in WordPress, so your Hostinger credentials are never sent to the site. Connector also gives your AI tool access to your other Hostinger services, such as hosting, domains, and DNS.

### Advanced: connect directly

AI tools that can't use Hostinger Connector can connect to `https://yourdomain.com/wp-json/hostinger-ai-assistant/v1/mcp` with an administrator's application password or an access token. See [Connect directly](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-plugin/mcp-server.md#connect-directly) for the setup and examples.

## Troubleshooting

### The AI tool gets a 401 or 403 error on a direct connection

A 401 means the application password or access token is wrong or has expired. A 403 means the user isn't an administrator. See [Troubleshooting](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-plugin/mcp-server.md#troubleshooting) on the WordPress Site MCP Server page.

### The Agent button is missing

Check that the Hostinger AI plugin is installed and activated under **Plugins**, and that you're signed in as an administrator. Hostinger Agent is only available on sites hosted with Hostinger.

### A site doesn't appear in Hostinger Connector

Check that the AI plugin is active on the site, then click **Sync** next to **Websites** in Connector.

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Is the AI plugin the same as the AI Website Builder?</summary>

No. The [AI theme](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/ai-theme.md) generates a whole site during setup. The AI plugin helps you create content and manage the site afterwards. They work well together but are separate.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where is the LLMs.txt setting?</summary>

In [Hostinger Tools](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/tools.md#llm-optimization), under **LLM Optimization**.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does the plugin work if I move my site to another host?</summary>

No. The AI features rely on Hostinger's AI service and are only available for sites hosted with Hostinger.
