# Ecommerce Plugin

Sell from your WordPress site without WooCommerce — the Hostinger Ecommerce plugin connects WordPress to a Hostinger Ecommerce store for products, cart, and checkout.

The **Hostinger Ecommerce** plugin turns your WordPress site into a storefront for a [Hostinger Ecommerce](https://www.hostinger.com/ecommerce) store. You manage products, orders, inventory, payments, and shipping in Hostinger Ecommerce; WordPress shows your products and cart alongside your content, theme, and SEO.

You don't need WooCommerce. WordPress becomes one of your store's **sales channels**, next to any other storefronts you run.

The plugin is currently in beta.

* **Requires:** WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 8.1 or later, and a Hostinger hosting plan
* **Availability:** only for sites hosted with Hostinger; not listed on WordPress.org

## Install the plugin

### On an existing WordPress site

1. In hPanel, go to **Websites** → your website → **Dashboard**.
2. Open **WordPress** → **Overview**.
3. Under **Recommended installations**, open the **Plugins** tab and click **Install** next to **Hostinger Ecommerce Plugin**.

You can also install it from the **Discover** tab in [Hostinger Hub](/wordpress/hostinger-plugins/easy-onboarding.md#discover).

### As a new WordPress storefront

From Hostinger Ecommerce, go to **Store Manager** → **Sales channels** → **Add sales channel** and choose **WordPress**. This creates a new WordPress site with the plugin already installed and connected. How many sales channels you can add depends on your plan.

## Connect your store

1. In the WordPress admin, go to **Hostinger** → **Ecommerce**. If no other Hostinger plugins are installed, **Ecommerce** appears directly in the menu.
2. Click **Connect your Ecommerce**.
3. Choose an existing store, or click **Create a new Ecommerce Store** and enter a **Store name**, **Country**, and **Currency**.

Once connected, the status shows **Connected** and **Visit store** opens your storefront.

## Get ready to sell

Customers can't buy until the store has at least one payment method — until then, buy buttons are disabled. If you sell physical products, also set up shipping. The plugin shows reminders with **Add Payment Method** and **Add Shipping method**, which take you to Hostinger Ecommerce.

### Payments

Set up payment methods in Hostinger Ecommerce under **Settings** → **Payments**. See the [Hostinger Ecommerce](https://www.hostinger.com/ecommerce) documentation for the methods available in your country.

### Products

Add products in Hostinger Ecommerce under **Products** → **Add product** — physical and digital products, services, gift cards, and donations — or bulk-upload them with **Import products**. New products appear on your WordPress site automatically.

## Your storefront

When you connect a store, the plugin creates the pages your shop needs:

| Page           | Address                               |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **Products**   | `yourdomain.com/products`             |
| **Cart**       | `yourdomain.com/cart`                 |
| Product pages  | `yourdomain.com/product/product-name` |
| Thank-you page | `yourdomain.com/thank-you`            |

Products and Cart are regular WordPress pages you can edit. Product pages and the thank-you page are generated by the plugin.

### Checkout and the thank-you page

When customers check out, they're taken to Hostinger Ecommerce's secure checkout to pay. If they cancel, they return to the cart.

After a successful payment, customers land on the thank-you page on your site. It confirms the order was received, tells them a confirmation email with the order details is on its way, and links back to your products with **Continue shopping**. Order details such as the order number are in the confirmation email, not on the page.

> **Tip:** Developers can replace the thank-you page design by adding a `hostinger-ecommerce/thank-you.php` template to the theme.

### Show products on other pages

| Where             | How                                                                                                                   |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Block editor** | Add the **Hostinger Ecommerce Products List** block |
| **Elementor** | Drag the **Hostinger Ecommerce Products List** widget onto the page |
| **Anywhere else** | Use the `[hostinger_ecommerce_products]` shortcode for the product list, or `[hostinger_ecommerce_cart]` for the cart |

## Troubleshooting

### Buy buttons are disabled

The store has no payment method yet — hovering over the button shows "Purchases are unavailable until the store adds a payment method." Add one in Hostinger Ecommerce under **Settings** → **Payments**.

### The plugin shows a connection error

Click **Reconnect** and connect the store again. Your store, products, and orders in Hostinger Ecommerce aren't affected.

### Product pages show "Page not found"

Go to **Settings** → **Permalinks** in the WordPress admin and click **Save Changes** to refresh the site's links.

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Can I use it together with WooCommerce?</summary>

Running the plugin alongside WooCommerce or another ecommerce plugin on the same site isn't supported and may cause conflicts. Choose one store system per site.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do I manage orders?</summary>

In Hostinger Ecommerce. Orders, products, inventory, payments, and shipping are all managed there, not in the WordPress admin.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I sell the same products on WordPress and another storefront?</summary>

Yes. Each storefront is a sales channel of the same Hostinger Ecommerce store, so products and orders are shared. Your plan sets how many channels you can add.
